Joomla Theme

Pixelsparadise.com released MP Valken a very clean and leightweight, two colums template theme for Joomla. It is optimized for screenresolutions of 1024x768 and can be used for all kinds of websites.
The template themes package includes four stand-alone versions of MP Valken in four different colors: Red, Green, Blue and Orange. The package also includes the .psd Photoshop source file, 75 premade "wet floor" images for your content items and 36 premade header images.
The template provides nine different modulepositions and can be used with Mambo 4.5.1+ and Joomla 1.0+. The template comes without any tables and based on XTHML 1.0/CSS 2.0 valid code. It is tested with IE 6.0, IE 7.0, FireFox, Safari, Netscape and Opera.

I stumbled across an interesting article posted at the Developers network site by Brad called Top Ten Stupidest Joomla! Administrator Tricks which makes you think about how important it is to keep on top of the administrator duties when running a Joomla site until its too late. Joomla! 1.0.12

The Joomla! development team have advised that all users upgrade to the latest version of 1.0.12 which includes features:

• 140+ General Bug Fixes
• Several low level security fixes
• A full security audit of SQL queries
• SSL switchover support
  

If you are using Joomla! 1.0.11, it is recommend that you upgrade to 1.0.12 as it addresses several long standing bugs and several low level security issues.

A new Security Announcements Forum. has also been announced will be used for security announcements for the Joomla! core and third party extensions. You are strongly encouraged to register on forum.joomla.org and subscribe to this forum to ensure that you receive notification of important security issues.
