| What Happened To Mambo |
|
I was just wondered what happened to Mambo ? Mambo was the first content management system i used and it was great and to be honest still is very good but then Joomla appeared and has taken off like a rocket with many users migrating from mambo to Joomla plus the 3rd party component, template developer have also left the community. The reason why i say the above is because if you visit the mambo forum there seems to be very limited activited in terms of people responding to forum posts where at the Joomla forum its on fire they have people posting and people responding on a daily basis. Plus if you look at the Alexa Traffic activity for both mambo and Joomla its not looking to good for Mambo.
lets hope the developers can keep mambo alive as this is what first inspired me to use open source and content management and it would be a real shame to see them disappear. |
